U. S. authorities have ordered the American Embassy in Syria to be closed, and all Americans to leave the country due to the bloody violence in the streets of that strife-torn Middle Eastern country. I spoke with former Ambasador Mark Johnson, Director of the Montana World Affairs Council about what the violence in Syria means to us here in Montana. That interview is attached. Johnson says the United Nations had a plan to bring peace to the country, but it was vetoed by China and Russia.
