After 31 years, Montana Rail Link has a new president.

MRL Communications Director Jim Lewis broke the news on Monday morning.

“We’re happy to announce that Stacey Posey has accepted the position of President of Montana Rail Link, effective on January 1, 2019,” began Lewis. “Stacey joined MRL in 2016 as Vice President of Operations, and previously held numerous leadership roles with CSX Corporation. Tom Walsh announced his retirement at Montana Rail Link after 31 years of service with the company. Tom joined MRL in 1987 and held various roles including executive vice president and CFO, until assuming the role of president in 2003.”

Montana Rail Link celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2017, and now has over 1,200 employees and moves over 400,000 carloads of freight every year.
