Road have been especially dangerous recently. As a result, the Missoula Police Department has responded to several reported accidents. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh says one woman received a few charges after officers responded to her accident.

“At about 3:22 yesterday afternoon, officers were called to the report of a vehicle that had slid off the road in the 4600 block of Rattlesnake Drive,” Welsh said. “Subsequent to that response, they arrested 30-year-old Carly Weidenaar for DUI and also for criminal child endangerment. The officers discovered that there was a 1-year-old child in the car with Weidenaar.”

Welsh says this was the woman’s first DUI offense, which is a misdemeanor. However, she was charged with felony criminal child endangerment and is being held on $50,000 bond.
