Missoula Weekly Crime Report: Assaults, Thefts, DUIs, and Drugs
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - The Missoula County Attorney’s Office charged 22 criminal complaints this week, which is three more than last week and higher than the weekly average. According to County Attorney Kirsten Pabst, five of those cases involved interpersonal violence.
“One of those was a violation of an order of protection, a felony,” Pabst said. “One was a stalking case. In that case, the defendant allegedly threatened his ex as well as her family. There were three partner or family member assault cases. One also included a burglary and another included an assault with a weapon.”
In the crimes against persons category, Pabst said they charged two cases of assault on a peace officer as well as a privacy and communications charge.
“That case involved an alleged death threat via voicemail to the victim,” Pabst said. “In the endangerment category, we had three new cases and two were felony DUIs, which is a fourth or subsequent offense. We also had one criminal endangerment case. We charged seven new property crimes, including thefts, burglaries, trespass to vehicles, and things like that.”
Pabst said there were two new felony drug cases as well.
“Both involved methamphetamine and one also involved suspected fentanyl,” Pabst said. “Finally, in the administrative crimes category, we charged two new cases. One was a fugitive from justice and then there was a case of two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted person. In that case, the defendant allegedly had a revolver in his car.”
Pabst provides her report every Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. on KGVO’s Talk Back show. You can listen to her full report below:
