Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On June 17, 2026, at approximately 4:45 p.m., a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy responded to a residence in the 7700 block of Antelope Drive for a reported disturbance between 41-year-old Jessica Stackhouse and her neighbor, John Doe. While on the way to the incident location, several other individuals called 911 to report that Stackhouse was outside Doe’s trailer with a metal baseball bat, threatening the individuals on the property.

When the deputy arrived on scene, he contacted Doe, who was outside his trailer with a few other neighbors. Doe explained that he was outside and sitting near his steps watching his two-year-old son play in the yard. Stackhouse came to the metal chain link fence with a baseball bat and a "bunch of knives on her belt.”

Stackhouse began hitting the fence with the bat and yelling threats at Doe and his son. The deputy confirmed that Doe felt that he was in danger when Stackhouse was at the fence with the bat, and Doe believed that she would use the bat on him or his son.

Doe filmed and took a picture of the incident. The deputy reviewed the video and noted that you could hear Stackhouse yelling, see her with a bat at the fence, and was wearing several other items on a belt around her waist. Doe described the items as hatchets and throwing knives. After reviewing the video and speaking with Doe, it was determined that Stackhouse would be arrested for assault with a weapon due to threatening Doe and his son with the baseball bat and several other weapons, causing them reasonable apprehension of injury.

After placing Stackhouse in custody, she requested that law enforcement enter her home to ensure her dog and cat were safe. When the door to her residence was opened to let her dog inside, the deputy observed a metal baseball bat, a wooden-handled hatchet, and several thin throwing hatchets set inside the door.

Following Stackhouse’s arrest, a deputy conducted a search incident to arrest in front of his dash-mounted camera. During this search, the deputy located a zip top bag of 9.3 grams of methamphetamine. The meth was seized, and Stackhouse was detained in a patrol vehicle and transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility.

While on the way, Stackhouse began hyperventilating and produced a tremor-like shaking. The deputy instead transported Stackhouse to St. Patrick's Hospital, where she was cleared by an emergency physician and taken to jail.

Stackhouse is currently being charged with felony assault with a weapon and felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
