At around 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, 41-year-old Robert Finch was placed under arrest for outstanding warrants and possession of dangerous drugs. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“Mr. Finch had been identified as a suspect in a theft that occurred approximately three hours earlier at a nearby department store,” Welsh said. “The officers made contact with him at a convenience store later in the morning where he was identified and confirmed to have warrants. At the time of his arrest, the officers also determined that he was in possession of a substance that they later determined to be methamphetamine. He was placed under arrest and is currently being held for his charges related to drug possession.”

According to Welsh, the Missoula Police Department is still investigating to determine if Finch was involved in the theft that was reported earlier.

Less than three weeks ago, Finch was arrested for criminal possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
