On Monday, the Missoula city council will decide whether or not to recommend to Missoula county commissioners that a two cent gas tax be placed on the ballot in November. City councilman Adam Hertz says "the city council will absolutely pass the resolution," but that "it is unlikely to be on the ballot in the fall." Hertz describes the gas tax as "the lesser of two evils," inferring that property taxes are the greater evil.
