Panic At Missoula Apartment As Man Lunges With Knife
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On June 22, 2025, at approximately 9:37 P.M., Missoula Police Department officers responded to an apartment complex located in the 2200 block of Mullan Road for a report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, initial responding officers had already located the male suspect and detained him in handcuffs. The suspect was positively identified as 36-year-old Carlos Guerini-Bolt.
An officer escorted Carlos to his patrol vehicle, where he was detained in the rear seat. Carlos appeared to be very paranoid and made random, spontaneous utterances, complaining that there were people at the apartment complex armed with firearms who were “after him”. Due to Carlos’ behavior, officers believed he was possibly under the influence of some form of intoxicant and was experiencing delusions and/or hallucinating.
Carlos further admitted to possessing a kitchen knife that he obtained from his apartment. Carlos stated that he grabbed the knife because he “was held at gunpoint”. Carlos also said he contacted an employee and asked them to unlock or open a door. He also admitted to taking some sort of physical action toward the employee, but advised it was because he was "very scared."

Officer Locates the Knife
An officer located the knife on a couch within the apartment complex lobby. The knife had what appeared to be a deer antler handle and a fixed blade approximately six inches in length.
Another officer contacted the reporting party, Jane Doe, in the staff office. Doe was visibly shaken from the incident as she was crying and nearly hyperventilating. Doe said Carlos was outside screaming at the building. Carlos then entered the lobby area and told Doe that there were shooters on the roof who were after him.
To ease Carlos’ mind, Doe showed him a live camera view of the outside and the roof area to show him that there was no one there. Carlos was not convinced, but Doe stepped away from her computer and into the back area of the office to call the Mobile Support Team.
When Doe returned from the back office, Carlos was gone. Approximately five to ten minutes later, Carlos appeared at the office window shouting, “They’re here, they’re here now!” Doe noticed that Carlos had a knife in his hand.

Carlos Threatens Doe With the Knife
Carlos jumped up on the counter, leaned through the open window, and lunged the knife towards Doe’s chest. Doe described the knife as almost touching her, and that the knife was the first thing Carlos pushed through the window while trying to get in. Due to Carlos’ mental state, Doe theorized that he could have been seeing her as the “bad guy” and that was why he attacked her.
Carlos was arrested and was transported to the Missoula County Detention Center. He is currently being charged with felony assault with a weapon. His bond was set at $15,000.
