See the New Missoula Airport Terminal With an Open House Event
The new building has been a bit like having a delicious pie in the middle of the table but you're not allowed to dig into it. Playing the role of the pie in this scenario would be the new terminal at the Missoula Montana Airport. It's been sitting there for a bit, it looks delicious ready, but it just hasn't quite been time yet. Well, we're almost to the finish line with the new terminal and in less than two weeks it'll be open for business.
After an earlier opening day in May was pushed back a bit, the waiting game will end when the new terminal opens on June 8 for passengers and flights. But before it does, NBC Montana reports that the airport will host its Open House Celebration on May 31 to give the community a chance to check it out before officially opening.
From a Missoula Montana Airport press release:
MSO’s Terminal Expansion project modernized the facility to serve the region well into the future, providing passengers an elevated travel experience at MSO.
Attendees of the Open House event will explore the new amenities and learn about the project from Team MSO, including hearing directly from Lorie Dankers a TSA spokesperson regarding their technology advancements in the new terminal.
Be one of the first to see new features at the airport:
- Expanded ticketing options
- Extra TSA screening lines
- Additional boarding areas
- Improved baggage handling
- A sit-down restaurant
- A viewing area
The open house will take place from 4 PM to 7 PM and the press release says parking will be free for the first 60 minutes in the short-term or long-term areas. But keep in mind that parking will be limited.
