Mineral County to Receive New Health Clinic

Mineral County is almost the same size as the state of Rhode Island and if you are injured there you are likely to find yourself cared for by the staff of the county's only hospital, Mineral Community. Due to the need to care for more people, Mineral Community Hospital will be expanding to include a new clinic in St. Regis. A ribbon cutting ceremony is set for February 27, from 11:00 a.m. to noon to celebrate the opening of its new clinic.

Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Medical Community Hospital, Monica Ray tells us about the hospital's focus and the upcoming grand opening.

The public is welcome to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony where punch and cake will be served and visitors can tour of the new facility. The clinic will also offer free blood pressure testing and diabetes screenings including blood glucose and A1c tests until 2:oo p.m., February 27.

The clinic is located on 341 Highway 135 in St. Regis.
