Manhunt Continues for David Burgert Near Lolo

Incident Commander Mike Dominick with the Missoula County Sheriff's Department said this afternoon that 47 year-old David Burgert, former leader of the Project 7 militia group in Flathead County is still at large in the Petty Creek area, after fleeing a traffic stop on Sunday and shooting at pursuing deputies before fleeing into the woods. I spoke with Undersheriff Dominick moments ago...that interview is attached.

Dominick says Burgert stated that he would not be taken into custody as he was in 2002, and seemed to be preparing for a final conftontation with law enforcement personnel.
