The 62nd legislative session came to a close Thursday evening after lawmakers passed the state's budget bill and adopted some of the governor's amendments to the bill reforming the medical marijuana law, most of which addressed privacy concerns. Senate Majority Leader Jeff Essmann says the legislature accomplished most of what it set out to do, including the main goal of creating jobs.

But, Senate Minority Leader, Carol Williams, says she's disappointed with how the session turned out.

Governor Brian Schweitzer says he's pleased the legislature passed a balanced budget, leaving more than $306 million dollars in the state's bank account but is disappointed lawmakers wasted so much time on frivolous and unconstitutional bills.
