Serial Offender Makes Knife Threats in Downtown Missoula
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On June 12, 2026, at approximately 10:58 p.m., numerous Missoula Police Department Officers were dispatched to the area of Red’s Bar and the Badlander in downtown Missoula for a report of an individual “threatening to stab people.” The complainant said the male was wearing “all black” and “sitting up against a wall near the Badlander.”
Officers arrived and commanded the male, later identified as 30-year-old Antonio Moreno, to stop and “get on the ground.” Moreno refused to follow those commands. One officer drew his firearm while the other drew his taser.
Moreno continued refusing lawful commands to stop and get on the ground and walked towards the parking garage. An officer observed multiple people in the entry to the parking garage. Given the call for service and for safety reasons, the officer successfully deployed his taser on Moreno, and he was arrested.

Officers were alerted that Moreno had backpacks up against the wall of the Badlander. Officers walked to the area and located a folding pocketknife with a three-inch blade that was unfolded on the ground next to the backpacks. The knife was seized. While standing in the area, an officer heard John Doe state that Moreno had tried to stab him just moments ago.
Another officer transported Moreno to St. Patrick’s Hospital for medical clearance. During transport, the officer noted Moreno made several off-color comments about the officer’s ethnicity, and Moreno was extremely agitated. Moreno was medically cleared and transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility.
According to court documents, Moreno has been the subject of 29 calls for service and booked into the Missoula County Detention Facility 22 times since 2020. Moreno has been previously arrested for Assault with a Weapon 3 times and Robbery once since 2020.
