One day, years ago, a co-worker of mine said that we only have twelve weekends in our summer, so we need to make the most of them. That has stuck with me ever since.

When I was a kid, summers in Montana flew by like a blur. Every day was a new adventure. There was so much to do, and so little time to do it all. These days, as an adult, my summers are a bit more planned out, but they still fly by. Before I know it those twelve weekends will be gone in the blink of an eye. So we should try to make the most of them.

Montana has a lot to offer any time of the year, but there are some things that just say "summer" more than most other times of the year. To me, one of the most important parts of summer is to have a little bit of fun every once in a while.

For some people work is fun, for others it's about rest and relaxation. There are a lot of people who like to do the same things, for example there are a lot of people who just want to float on a river or take in a baseball game. Then there are those that want a little more excitement like taking in an outdoor concert.
