Unique Guest Ranch in Whitefish Montana Adding a Sweet Business

One of the reasons I love to take staycations in Montana is because our state has so many cool things to offer. I just came across a guest ranch in western Montana that I had never heard of and it sounds so cool.

Have you ever heard of the Clydesdale Outpost? That's right. Many guest ranches in Montana offer horse riding but this guest ranch allows you to ride Clydesdale horses. How cool is that?

The Clydesdale Outpost, located in Whitefish, doesn't just offer Clydesdale horseback riding but also barn tours and different kinds of carriage rides for groups. The cabins have cedar hot tubs and retro details like record players and typewriters.

As you might expect, the ranch is also an ideal spot for a wedding but even if you just want to do a photoshoot they can accommodate that too.

Unsurprisingly, the Clydesdale Outpost was named “Tourism Business of the Year” for 2024 by the Whitefish Chamber and was voted #1 Even Space and #2 Lodging in Best of Whitefish 2024. They’ve also been featured in both Montana Bride Magazine and Sunset.

To top it all off, they have a new venture opening very soon.

Clydesdale Creamery—Milkshake Saloon & Espresso

The Clydesdale Outpost will open the Clydesdale Creamery—Milkshake Saloon & Espresso. They haven't posted an opening day yet, but you can sign up for their newsletter for updates about the business. They are also hiring if you’d love to work at a Creamery. They’re looking for a Creamery Manager as well as Barista/Milkshake Curators.
