There have been some important recalls of products in Montana that you need to be aware of. Just recently there was a recall on Ford F-150 trucks, one of the most popular trucks in Montana.

Popular Product Available In Montana is Recalled

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the popular "BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders" have been recalled. The reason for the recall, according to the report:

The recalled blenders can overheat or catch fire and the blender blades can break off, posing fire and laceration hazards to consumers.

There are over 4.8 million BlendJet 2 Portable Blenders that are being recalled. The recall is affecting the serial numbers between 5201 and 5542. It is recommended that consumers stop using the product immediately and contact BlendJet for a replacement base. Consumers can go to the BlendJet website here, or they can call the BlendJet consumer hotline at 844-334-0562.

There Have Been Multiple Reports of Injuries and Fires

According to the CPSC there have been quite a few reports of issues.

The firm has received approximately 329 reports of the blades breaking while in use, and an additional 17 reports of overheating or fires resulting in property damage claims of approximately $150,000. The firm has received about 49 reports of minor burns and one report of a laceration injury.

If you have purchased any of these products between October or 2020 through November of 2023, you need to be careful with this product and contact the manufacturer for a replacement bast as soon as possible.
