Corcoran composed his rankings by looking at several factors:

  • Ballpark location
  • Ballpark's food and drink
  • Ballpark's atmosphere
  • Ballpark's character (History, big events)

Corcoran gave each stadium a score within a subcategory and added them up for a cumulative score.

Here are Corcoran's top 10 MLB ballparks

10 PNC Park (35.5)

Home of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The view and location of PNC Park eked it into the top 10.

9. Comerica Park (36.5)

9. Comerica Park (36.5)

Home of the Detroit Tigers. Corcoran was surprised by Comerica making it into the top 10. And yes, Comerica is as big in person as it seems on TV.

8. Coors Field (37)

8. Coors Field (37)

Home of the Colorado Rockies. It's the ballpark that Corcoran has visited the most. You can't beat the views of downtown behind home and the Rocky Mountains in the distance in the outfield.

7. Oracle Park (38)

7. Oracle Park (38)

Home of the San Francisco Giants. Speaking of awesome views, McCovey Cove in right field is as good as it gets at an MLB ballpark.

6. Great American Ballpark (39)

6. Great American Ballpark (39)

Home of the Cincinnati Reds. Location, location, location. GABP being right on the river is a huge bump for the home of the Reds.

5. Petco Park (42)

5. Petco Park (42)

Home of the San Diego Padres. An outdoor baseball stadium in San Diego, California? Not many stadiums will top this.

4. Yankee Stadium (42.5)

4. Yankee Stadium (42.5)

The new Yankee Stadium, by the way. One of the 4 cathedrals in MLB... despite it being built in 2009.

3. Wrigley Field (45)

3. Wrigley Field (45)

Home of the Chicago Cubs. From here on out, it's nothing but baseball cathedrals. Wrigley has mystique. The ivy. The obstructed views along both baselines. The famous sign outside the ballpark. It has history.

2. Fenway Park (46)

2. Fenway Park (46)

Home of the Boston Red Sox. To me, this is as iconic as a ballpark gets. The Green Monster. Pesky's Pole. All tucked into downtown Boston. But Corcoran says there's one better...

We should've known. Corcoran's favorite baseball team comes in with the best overall ballpark.
