There has been a lot of online chatter about the postgame actions at last Saturday's Brawl of the Wild. After the Cats pulled off the road victory over Montana, a few Bobcat players strutted around Washington-Grizzly Stadium talking to the Griz fans who stayed around.

The postgame theatrics caught the attention of some national sites like Snapback Sports and BroBible.

Several Griz fans were upset online. Heck, several Griz fans were upset at the stadium. Fans angrily tossed water bottles and pizza crusts in the direction of MSU players.

I have a few thoughts on the matter...

  • MSU won. If the players want to talk trash to the Griz fans, I say go ahead. It's a rivalry game. Fans talk trash 365 days a year, and I hear the insults tossed at the opposing players on the field. I have no problem with them trash-talking us.
  • When they're stomping on the Grizzly Bear logo, as long as they're not damaging the playing surface, then so be it. It's like Baker Mayfield planting the OU flag at midfield in Ohio Stadium. Don't like it? Beat them in the game.
  • Players stomping at midfield look silly. You guys looked like an awkward rooster.
  • Keep in mind that the players are typically 18-22 years old. So, for the adults who are hurling objects at them, why don't you take it easy, ok?
