Federal prosecutors say a northern Idaho woman who acted as a lookout for people who went into a home on tribal land and stole guns faces up to three years in prison.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 33-year-old Twyla Dawn Basil, of Bonners Ferry, pleaded guilty Monday to misprision of a felony. Along with prison time, she also faces up to a $250,000 fine at her Jan. 31 sentencing.

Basil was charged in federal court because the alleged crime happened on tribal land. Basil and the victim are also both members of the Kootenai Tribe.
