Governor Brian Schweitzer signed house bill one on Monday, but not without some objections. After signing what's known as the feed bill, funding the current legislative session for about eight million dollars. The governor sent a message to the leaders of the two Montana legislative chambers, Senate President Jim Peterson, and House Speaker  saying that he considered an amendatory veto, letting the bill become law without his signature. House speaker Mike Milburn had this reaction to the Governor's letter.

The Governor takes exception to the bill funding the house and senate through 2013 while drastic cuts are being considered for health and human services.
