This year’s featured speaker for the Democratic Party of Virginia's annual Jefferson-Jackson Day fundraising dinner is Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer. Also speaking is former Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine and U.S. Senators Jim Webb and Mark Warner.

Tickets are $200 a piece. This is one of the Democrats major annual money-raising efforts. This year's dinner, held midway through the General Assembly's session, is at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.

The dinner is named after Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson. The Republican celebration is named Lincoln-Reagan Day after Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan.
