The University of Montana opens its fall football camp on Tuesday as coach Robin Pflugrad implements his new-look offense.

Pflugrad says his new offense is a spread offense with a zone-read concept, with a passing game that's based on a lot of run-and-shoot. He says it might best be called a spread and shoot offense.

The Griz will hold one-a-day practices from Tuesday through Aug. 13. The first two-a-day practice is on Sunday, which will include a morning practice and an afternoon scrimmage. UM also plans scrimmages on Aug. 20 and Aug. 25.

Starting tomorrow, I'll unveil a position-by-position preview of the Maroon and Silver. I'll cover one position per day, beginning with the offensive tackles.
