A Salvation Army worker has found a gold coin amid contributions collected in Montana.

Daily Inter Lake reports that Lt. Kabrina "KB" Hall found the American Buffalo gold coin on Friday while counting red kettle donations from the Harvest Foods collection site in Bigfork.

Hall says Kalispell is her first appointment with the Salvation Army and this is the first gold coin she has found.

Two gold coins turned up during the Salvation Army's annual collection last year: a Double Eagle gold coin in Columbia Falls and a Standing Liberty gold piece in Bigfork. The combined total of those coins was about $2,140.

Hall says she is looking forward to selling the coin to bump up the Salvation Army's collection total.
