Forest Service Tells Holland Lake Lodge to Reset and Resubmit Bid
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - The U.S. Forest Service has dealt the new owners of the Holland Lake Lodge a major setback by deciding to ‘cease evaluation of the project at this time’.
In a letter to Holland Lake Lodge, Incorporated in Park City Utah on November 21, Forest Supervisor Kurtis Steele stated: ‘Due to anomalies in the submission for this application for proposed use and issues that have surfaced, including inaccuracies and inconsistencies in the MDP (Master Development Plan) and proposed use, I have decided to cease evaluation of the proposed use at this time’
The full letter from the Forest Service can be read below.
Responding to the Forest Service’s letter, Stacey Hutchinson, Vice President and Director of Government Affairs for POWDR Adventure Lifestyle Company sent a reply that read in part: ‘We recently received a request from the U.S. Forest Service to provide more detail on our Master Development Plan. We very much look forward to doing that and continuing to work with the USFS, as well as the public, during the process.

Our intention from the beginning of this process was to upgrade the infrastructure of Holland Lake Lodge in a sustainable way that would preserve the integrity of the lodge and environment without sacrificing affordability for residents and others seeking to marvel at the grandeur of our natural spaces.’
