Flood Threats In Montana

Montana faces flooding threats, as mountain snow pack continues to increase and a cool spring brings yet more moisture. The National Weather Service says many of the State's river basins are nearly double their average snow pack levels, and snow has been piling up late into spring. The flood threat could persist into early July, due to cool weather. State Disaster and Emergency Services Coordinator Ed Tinsley urges people to be prepared.

 Tinsley says Prepare for high water now  if you live in a flood-prone area. Tips are available online at both www.deq.mt.gov and www.dphhs.mt.gov.
