Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On August 3rd, 2024, a Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Deputy was dispatched to a residence in Frenchtown for a person to be removed. The deputy saw a silver Chevy Malibu in the driveway with the driver’s door open. The vehicle contained several open and empty “Twisted Tea” alcoholic beverage containers throughout the interior, one of which was on the driver’s seat. A male was sitting about 10 feet away under a tree.

The deputy approached the male who appeared to be intoxicated. The male identified himself as 43-year-old Allen Storm. Storm stated he was homeless and found a nice, shaded spot to sit so he parked, went under the tree, and drank three beers. While speaking to Storm, the deputy could detect the odor of alcoholic beverages on Storm’s breath.

The deputy asked Storm where he was before he came to this address and he stated he was drinking at a bar. Once he left the bar, he said he came right to this driveway and parked.

The deputy asked Storm if he would be willing to take Field Sobriety Tests, but he refused. The deputy then placed Storm under arrest for DUI. Storm was staggering while walking to the patrol vehicle.

According to court documents, Storm has four previous DUI convictions in 2001, 2007, 2010, and 2012. The deputy drove Storm to St. Patrick’s Hospital to collect a blood sample. On the way to the hospital, Storm made random statements that didn’t make sense. He stated he was part of Sons of Anarchy and started other groups. He also said he doesn’t like other races and only likes white people.

The deputy said Storm was yelling at pedestrians who were walking by as he was driving. The deputy said Storm called them the n-word and continued to repeat that word over and over while sitting in the patrol car. His continued behavioral changes, in the deputy’s experience, were consistent with persons who are under the influence of alcohol. He started the interaction politely and then changed to anger.

After the blood draw, Storm was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility. During transport, Storm continued to ramble and say the same racial slurs. Storm is currently being charged with felony DUI and criminal trespass to property.
