Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On the morning of October 20, 2025, a Missoula Police Department Officer was contacted by Probation and Parole to assist with a home visit of 18-year-old Andres Beck. The officer is a trained K9 officer, and Probation was requesting a dog sniff to assist with the search. The PO stated that he had arrested Beck for a probation violation the previous day.

Beck had called his girlfriend from the detention facility. On the calls, Beck mentioned hiding something that was not located by Probation, and stated that the object was in the cat house.

The officer and PO responded to the residence on River Road. The officer observed a small wooden structure that could be a house for a dog or a cat. They searched the structure and did not locate any relevant evidence.

Officers Search the Apartment

Then the officer, the PO, and certified K9 dog Zip searched the interior of the apartment. The officer observed a large stack of cash on the TV stand in the bedroom. Zip later gave indicators of detecting a narcotics odor coming from the shelf below where the cash was sitting.

The officer asked Beck about the cash. He said it was his girlfriend’s and that she had won it gambling. The officer asked if any narcotics were in the residence. Beck stated that there were none.

In the closet of the bedroom, the officer observed a black shoe box, which contained a digital scale with white residue and numerous clear plastic baggies of various sizes, as well as a sandwich-sized bag containing cocaine.

The Cocaine Wasn't Just for Personal Use

Based on the officer’s training and experience, 25.84 grams of cocaine is greater than what would normally be stored by most drug users for personal use. The officer also counted the cash, which totaled $6,020.

The officer spoke with Beck’s girlfriend at her workplace. She was aware of the cocaine and said that it was “Andres’s deal,” which she tried to stay out of. According to court documents, she stated that she knew that Beck sold cocaine and that the cash in the apartment belonged to Beck. When advised that jail communications were monitored, she said that she had moved the box containing drugs from the cat house into the house and then into the closet.
