Don’t Get Scammed !![AUDIO]

On Tuesday the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office took yet another report of an elderly Missoula citizen being victimized by a telephone scam.  This individual lost over $2900.00 in this scam.  Last week they  received additional calls from elderly people in Missoula who received the call but did not send money.  Public Information Officer Jason Johnson says the scammer poses as a distraught grandchild and the  scammers spend all day on the phone scamming people so they are very well prepared to answer any question that comes up.. If you receive a call that seems suspicious, get a return phone number and then do your homework.  Call your Grandchild  or other relatives to verify the story.
