With the advances of technology and the ability to get on social networking sites, cyberbullying is becoming more and more of a problem. Although technology provides numerous benefits to young people, it also can be used for harm, not only by some adults but also by today’s youth. Email, texting, chat rooms, mobile phones, mobile phone cameras and web sites can and are being used by young people to bully peers. Author and concerned parent Jacquie Reams says enough is enough.

Reams says parents need to be aware that this is going on and to monitor their children’s cell phones and internet usage. She also says children need to be taught to place a higher value on their friendships and acquaintances.
