Budget Issues

Governor Brian Schweitzer pressed House and Senate leaders on revenue estimates during a Thursday morning meeting. The Legislative Fiscal Division's estimates are about 71 million dollars below what the Governor's office projects, and Schweitzer says that means Legislators are making un-necessary cuts. House Speaker Mike Milburn says the state can't spend money it doesn't really have... With the hope the fiscal division's estimates are low.

The House Appropriations Committee is looking at the whole State budget this week.
