GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — The U.S. attorney's office says a 22-year-old Browning woman has been sentenced to nearly four years in federal prison after being found guilty of running over a woman with a pickup truck after an argument.

Shaneal Bull Child was sentenced to three years and eight months in prison Monday during a hearing before U.S. District Judge Sam Haddon in Great Falls.

Investigators say Bull Child confessed to hitting the woman as she walked on the sidewalk in April 2011 because she was angry with the woman. Bull Child said the woman had hugged her boyfriend and threw beer bottles at her.

The victim lost consciousness after being struck.

Court records say Bull Child's blood-alcohol level was 0.095, above the limit at which a person is considered legally drunk.
