Block Pruning Begins On South Third Street Monday

Expect minor traffic delays starting Monday on 3^rd street between 7:30 am to 5 pm as Missoula Parks and Recreation’s Urban Forestry Division begin pruning trees. The project includes 137 trees between Higgins and Russell Streets. The pruning helps to improve the trees over-all health, helps reduce the cost of maintenance and will help eliminate any hazards. 25 dead or dying trees on 3^rd street will also be removed beginning Monday. Adjacent property owners have been offered a replacement tree that will be planted in spring of 2012.
