Police in Billings say a man was shot and wounded at a motel.

The Billings Gazette reports that the 42-year-old man was shot in the back of the thigh on Saturday. Police say the man's injury does not appear to be life-threatening.

The man told police that he was shot after he got into an argument with another man. According to a police statement, the wounded man told police the argument might have been over drugs.

The shooting remains under investigation.
