This Sunday, July 19th, BIKEapalooza will kick off the 10th annual Sunday Street Missoula. Program Specialist Alicia Vanderheiden says this will be the largest community bike ride in Missoula.

"It's going to travel around Pine over the Van Buren bridge to the University District through a couple of neighborhoods and trails, some of our shared use trails, and we'll probably meet just below the hip strip," Vanderheiden said. "It's going to be a little less than a six mile ride."

This year there will be 50 free activities stretching from the “car-free” Higgins Avenue Red XXXX’s to Fifth Street. Vanderheiden says the main goal is getting community members active, but they also want to be courteous of the environment as well.

"We would love for everybody to come with a reusable water bottle," Vanderheiden said. "We will have water stations throughout the Higgins Avenue Corridor but we will not have cups. We are trying support a zero waste event."

All ages are welcome to participate. The events will be going on from 12 to 4 p.m. For information about the event and volunteer opportunities, visit their website.
