An oil company says 420 to 630 gallons of crude leaked from a flow line at its field in northwestern Montana for up two weeks before the spill was discovered.

The Montana Highway Patrol says two vehicles struck and killed a bull moose on U.S. Highway 93 south of Missoula.
Trooper Andrew Novak says a woman driving a car hit the moose at about 11:20 p.m. Sunday. A few moments later, a pickup truck struck the animal as it lay injured in the road.

Hunters will be able to shoot as many as 220 gray wolves in Montana this fall under rules adopted by state wildlife commissioners.
Thursday's action is expected to reduce the predator's Montana population by up to 25 percent, dropping from at least 566 animals at the end of 2010 to 425 wolves after the hunt.

Daines has raised a total of nearly $600,000 after first declaring a U.S. Senate bid last year. He switched to the House race when Rehberg announced early this year that he would challenge Democratic U.S. Sen. Jon Tester.
