This week, the Atlanta School System cheating scandal broke, in which administrators and teachers confessed to changing test scores to increase funding from the state of Georgia. Here in Missoula, Executive Regional Director for School District One Mark Thane says the pressure to meet federal and state testing requirements led to the cheating scandal. I spoke with Mr. Thane Thursday afternoon. His comments are attached.

Thane says schools across the country and close to home can learn a great deal from the Atlanta scandal.
