As you can see from the district map I've included, all of of the city of Missoula's voting districts radiate from a small circle of territory not far from the University. It doesn't matter if you live in Target Range, or Linda Vista, or the Franklin area, our district map seems to believe that you share similar voting interests with the heart of the city. Does this seem fair to you? Right now the Districting and Apportionment Committee is in the process of revising our voting districts and if you have ideas on how the lines should be adjusted, it's not too hard to get public comments into the committee's hands. It seems to me that the high-density, transient nature of the University area would have very different voting issues than a family on the fringe of town, but I'm curious to hear what you think.
