Another Wind Event Increases West Riverside Fire {audio)
The West Riverside Fire experienced another, smaller wind event on Sunday afternoon, increasing the fire’s size to over 3400 acres. I spoke with Fire Information Officer Dixie Dees on Sunday evening at about 8 pm. That interview is attached.
The cost of fighting the West Riverside fire is now over $2.2 million dollars, and the
containment of the fire has dropped from 30% yesterday to only 20% today, because of the recent wind events.
