Two University of Montana football players have earned All-America honors from the American Football Coaches Association.

Griz linebacker Caleb McSurdy and defensive back Trumaine Johnson were named to the Football Championship Subdivision All-America team.

McSurdy is a senior from Boise, Idaho who leads the Griz with 117 tackles. He has 3.5 sacks, one interception, forced two fumbles and recovered one.

Johnson is a senior from Stockton, Calif., who is on the team for the second consecutive year. He has 44 tackles, one sack, one interception and 11 pass break-ups and a dozen pass deflections this season. He also forced a fumble.

Other Big Sky Conference athletes honored include Eastern Washington quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell and wide receiver Nicholas Edwards along with Weber (WEE'-bur) State offensive lineman J.C. Oram, Idaho State punter David Harrington and Portland State place kicker Zach Brown.
