Yellowstone National Park has partnered with Universal Textile Technologies in a new recycling partnership project. This joint venture will create and protect jobs for the American workforce. The amount of plastic bottles that go into landfills will be greatly reduced while helping the park meet its recycling goals. Universal Textile has committed to purchase the recyclable plastic bottle Yellowstone collects each year. Director of Marketing for Universal Textile, Doug Giles says the bottles will be converted into backing for carpet and synthetic turf.

 Giles says this new partnership not only diverts plastics form landfills, it dramatically decreases the fuel and other resources used to transport materials around the planet.
