A resolution that prohibits camping and structures on missoula county property was passed wednesday on a majority vote by the county commissioners. During that meeting several community members sited the need for a 24 hour bathroom down town, which they claim would help alleviate sanitation issues near the courthouse. [AUDIO]
County Commissioners and community members gathered in the crowded Missoula County Courthouse Annex room 201 today to discuss a resolution that would prohibit camping and structures on county property. Close to thirty community members got up to speak on behalf of the Occupy Movement and their rights to freedom of speech and their rights to peacefully assemble. [AUDIO]
A Missoula man who ran over his twin brother with a van has been sentenced to 40 years in prison. District Judge John Larson sentenced Alberto Guillen on Thursday, saying he's "never had a case where someone's ran over their own brother and left him to die." Guillen pleaded guilty in November to attempted mitigated deliberate homicide and failing to stop at the scene of an accident in which someone was hurt.
A 43-year-old Dillon woman charged with shooting her husband in the neck with a rifle made an initial appearance in Justice Court. Beaverhead County Justice of the Peace Candy Hoerning advised Nichole Curr on Thursday that she is charged with attempted deliberate homicide after her husband was shot with a .22-caliber rifle on Dec. 26.
