POLSON, Mont. (AP) — A Montana jury has ordered Hyundai to pay $240 million in punitive damages after finding that a manufacturing defect in a Hyundai vehicle caused a crash that killed two Missoula cousins in July 2011.

A third person has died as a result of a double-fatal crash that occurred on Highway 93 South between Lolo and Florence in late February.

On March 4, 2012, while he was driving drunk and under the influence of drugs, Justin Barber crashed his vehicle with three young men inside down a steep embankment off Hillview Way, resulting in the death of two of his best friends and severely injuring a third. Barber was sentenced Thursday morning in Missoula District Court.
