Update 2/24: The Missoula County Sheriff's Department has released the names of the two young women who were killed in a tragic head-on collision with a pickup truck in Lolo over the weekend. Condolences to friends and family of the victims, 23-year-old Hannah Capen and 9-year-old Meghan Okon.

Origninal story: There has been a second fatality reported as the result of Saturday's two-vehicle crash on Highway 93 South between Missoula and Lolo.

The accident occurred when a pickup truck crossed the center line and crashed into a GMC Acada SUV at about 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 22. Killed initially was the female driver of the pickup truck. Late Sunday, our news partners at NBC Montana-KECI-TV reported that a nine year-old passenger in the Acadia died as a result of injuries received in the crash.

Also reported injured in the crash were the 25 year-old male passenger in the pickup truck, as well as the 47 year-old female driver of the Acadia and another female juvenile. They were all taken to Missoula hospitals, and their condition is unknown.

No names have been released.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Mike Burman said that it appeared the driver of the pickup truck was traveling too fast for the snowy and icy road conditions.
