I love baking, but don’t always have time to make things from scratch. My kids have dessert or a baked good of some sort almost every day. But with my kids getting older and playing sports and all the other after school activities that they are involved in, I don’t have as much time to bake as I would like. So, when I can find a way to make my life a little easier, I do it. I ran across this recipe on Pinterest the other day and couldn’t wait to try it. It’s easy enough that my boys can make it by themselves too.

Easy Fruity Cake Recipe

1 box cake mix

1 can pie filling

3 eggs

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined. Grease a 9”x 13” pan. Pour the batter into the pan and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

Another great thing about this recipe is that you can put multiple combinations of cake mix flavors and pie filling flavors together. You could bake one of these cakes every day for a week and never have the same cake! My boys’ favorite is lemon cake with blueberry pie filling. It’s so good that they don’t even want frosting on it. My favorite is chocolate cake with cherry pie filling, but I like mine topped with chocolate frosting.
