Police Department And Support Staff Running For Bob

Thousands of runners are set to gather for the Missoula Marathon this weekend.  Among them will be about 25 members of the Missoula Police department and support staff. Several department employees, for the first time,  are running the full or half-marathons as well as  two relay teams on behalf of the I Run for Bob Foundation, which was started by Bob’s wife Lisa Heinle. Detective Jamie Merifield  explains the foundation.

Merifield says another reason for participating  is getting people interested in fitness.

Merifield says the department staff that will be participating will be wearing shirts that look like police uniforms with Bob’s name in the name-tag space.
