Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 2, 2023, Missoula Police Department Officers were dispatched to a report of a male slumped over the wheel of a vehicle near Anderson Park by South Higgins Avenue. An officer appeared on the scene and observed the male, later identified as 48-year-old Mikhy Warren, slumped over the wheel.

While verifying that the male was alright, the officer observed a needle on the center console of the vehicle. The officer then requested that Warren exit the vehicle. Warren began to reach around at the items on the center console.

The officer stated, “Don’t touch that stuff” twice. Warren responded, “What stuff?” The officer clarified the items in the center console. Warren then exited the vehicle and the officer observed that the needle was no longer in the center console.

Warren was arrested and mirandized. Warren admitted he moved “meth” from the center console because he was trying to avoid getting into more trouble. It was determined that Warren was on probation. The officer contacted a Probation Officer who requested a probation search of the vehicle.

Warren previously consented to a search of the vehicle as well when asked by the officers. Officers located a loaded syringe, a purple fix kit, ten unloaded and unused syringes, two tourniquets, a bag of tooter straws, suboxane and saline, a container containing a baggy with white crystal residue believed to be methamphetamine, and four mini torch lighters.

Warren was transported to the Missoula County Detention Facility, and he is currently being charged with felony tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs, and criminal possession of drug paraphernalia.

Warren has two pending matters in Montana’s Fourth Judicial District Court, and both are set for hearings on October 25, 2023. This case was filed directly into Missoula District Court.

On October 21, 2022, Warren was charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
