One juvenile male was arrested Monday evening in conjunction with five vehicle thefts in the Stevensville and Florence areas on September 15. Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman said another juvenile male already in custody was charged today.

The suspects targeted unlocked vehicles with keys inside. They damaged the vehicles, leaving them where they crashed. The suspects were also involved in three more vehicle thefts in Stevensville.

One juvenile will be charged with felony theft, felony criminal mischief and felony criminal endangerment. The other suspect is currently charged with felony theft. The suspects caused damage estimated in excess of several thousand dollars and additional criminal charges are expected.

In a separate case, three other juvenile males were arrested last Wednesday and Thursday for burglary, felony theft, misdemeanor criminal mischief and misdemeanor theft, and minor in possession of alcohol stemming form incidents that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, September 22 and 24 in the Victor area.

These suspects broke into a building and stole alcohol from a relative of one of the suspects as well as breaking into a business west of Victor, also stealing alcohol.

Hoffman said the suspects stole four different vehicles all of which have been recovered. Additional charges for one of the suspects include traffic offenses and probation violations.
