Wood For Haiti Fundraiser Benefits Montana
On January 12, 2010 an earthquake shook the island nation of Haiti killing hundreds of thousands of people and displacing over a million people. Our guests on Talk Back this week were a group of men leading a fundraiser called Wood For Haiti. President, Gary Funk explains how the concept of using Montana beetle killed trees could benefit the people of Haiti.
Wood For Haiti is a spin off of another program which began after the quake to help the Haitians called Hope For Haiti, also headed up locally by Gary Funk.
Gary Funk discusses how and where the money will be distributed in Haiti.
For more information about the program or how to donate visit their website at woodforhaiti.org or by calling Gary Funk at 777-4685.
