Will Ferrell Joins Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in ‘The Internship’
It’s a ‘Wedding Crashers’ reunion for ‘The Internship‘ as “Boats ‘n Hoes” lyricist Will Ferrell has just signed on to join former ‘Crashers’ friends Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson in the new comedy from director Shawn Levy. Things are about to get a little bit bro in here.
According to Variety, Will Ferrell has signed on for ‘The Internship,’ the Twentieth Century Fox comedy from director Shawn Levy. Levy is best known for ‘Night at the Museum’ and last year’s ‘Real Steel.’
Ferrell, Vaughn, and Wilson all starred in the 2003 raunch-fest ‘Wedding Crashers,’ and now the trio will suit up and reunite for Levy’s latest. Don’t get too excited — Ferrell’s part is merely a cameo as Wilson’s brother-in-law, a home electronics salesman who makes inappropriate comments about his female customers.
The film follows Vaughn and Wilson, old school salesmen in a fast-paced and increasingly digital world, who sign up for an internship at a big tech firm to reinvent themselves and keep up with the evolving sales world. ‘The Internship’ co-stars Rose Byrne, Max Minghella, and John Goodman and is produced by Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment and Vince Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Productions.
Ferrell can be seen next in ‘The Campaign‘ alongside Zach Galifianakis, which opens next Friday, August 10.
