Western Montana Restaurants Earn Wine Spectator Awards

Western Montana has been honored in the August 31 issue of Wine Spectator and their 2015 Restaurant Awards. The awards highlight restaurants around the world that offer the best wine selections.

We want to congratulate some of the fabulous establishments in our area that received recognition. They are The Depot, The Red Bird, Ciao Mambo, all of Missoula, and Seasons at the Double Arrow in Seeley Lake. These four received the Award of Excellence. This is Wine Spectator's basic award, recognizing wine lists that "offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style."

The second-tier award is the Best of Award Excellence. This gives special recognition to restaurants with lists that "also display vintage depth of excellent breadth across several regions." Our congratulations to...(drum roll, please).... Triple Creek Ranch near Darby!

Western Montana is known for a lot of great restaurants. It's nice to see these folks getting some big time acknowledgement from Wine Spectator!  The issue is at news stands now.    DB
